PUENTE GENIL BIOMASS POWER PLANT

Cordoba, Spain

Project description

As in the case of Linares, we worked for IBERESE on the construction of a biomass plant that would valorise waste from the olive industry. This approach was designed by ENSO's current design team.

The boiler is regarded as an example of economy and innovation because, given the heterogeneity of the biomasses used, we had to test and develop different types of systems and equipment. The result is a more efficient multi-fuel-fired boiler, and a plant that is more environmentally friendly because we use baghouses adapted to the fuels and air-cooled condenser instead of cooling towers, which reduces water consumption by 80%.
