Environmental Impact

We reduce our carbon footprint by creating production models that minimise carbon emissions

environment
We have succeeded in making our emissions and those of our clients neutral or even negative.

At ENSO, we understand environmental impact not only as a metric that must be reduced, but also as an active lever for industrial and territorial transformation. That is why we measure, control and reduce our emissions while developing energy models that enable our customers to operate with carbon-neutral and even carbon-negative systems.

TECHNICAL INTEGRATION
Pillars of our impact

Active forest management

A fundamental part of our decarbonisation strategy is the sustainable management of forest resources. ENSO directly manages forest areas in collaboration with local authorities and private owners. This activity not only ensures the availability of renewable biomass, but also promotes ecosystem regeneration, fire prevention and atmospheric carbon capture. Thanks to these practices, it is estimated that our assets act as carbon sinks.

Valorisation of by-products

Much of ENSO’s positive impact comes from the recovery of by-products and waste with energy potential. We make use of forestry, agricultural and industrial waste that, if left unused, would cause numerous CO₂ emissions. In addition, at certain facilities we capture and recover biogenic CO₂, allowing it to be used industrially, which prevents additional emissions in other processes.

Conservation and protection of the environment

Our activity incorporates strict criteria for protecting biodiversity and conserving the natural environment. In each project, we analyse and minimise the impact on the environment, and promote habitat regeneration when working in sensitive areas.
CARBON FOOTPRINT
We don’t just reduce: we avoid more CO₂ than we generate.

This demonstrates a clearly POSITIVE environmental impact.

Thanks to our circular technologies, we prevent the emission of 50,000 tons of CO₂.
