Building the infrastructure for a sustainable future thanks to bioenergy
The industrial sector—and especially thermo-intensive sectors—faces an increasingly demanding decarbonization scenario from a regulatory, economic, and operational standpoint. The pressure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, along with volatile gas prices and $\text{CO}_2$ costs, necessitates seeking reliable, sustainable, and economically competitive energy solutions.
In this context, biomass is positioned as an ideal renewable energy source for the production of industrial heat, especially in processes with high thermal loads and continuous or semi-continuous operation. The availability of local resources, the stability in fuel costs, and its carbon-neutral nature (when managed sustainably and traced) make it a real alternative to fossil fuels.
ENSO offers complete, turnkey thermal decarbonization solutions based on biomass, through an ESCO (Energy Service Company) model. This allows the industrial client to decarbonize their operations without the need for initial investment or assuming technical risks. We take care of the design, construction, operation, maintenance, and biofuel supply under a contractual scheme.
TECHNICAL INTEGRATION
Design Adapted to Thermal Profile
Detailed analysis of thermal consumption —flow rates, pressures, temperatures, variability— and plant dimensioning.
Hydraulic Integration
The biomass boiler can be connected to the primary heat collector or to the hot/superheated water or steam distribution system using heat exchangers, or common collectors.
Installation in Perimeter Areas
Installation in perimeter areas, technical zones, or exterior industrial areas, with minimal civil work.
Modular Systems
Modular and pre-assembled systems that allow for rapid and scalable deployment.
Operational Advantages
Specialization
in Industrial
Bioenergy
We have more than 20 years of experience designing energy solutions based on biomass for demanding industrial environments. Our knowledge of the sector allows us to adapt each proposal to the specific characteristics of the production process: thermal load, operating profile, regulatory requirements, or fuel quality. We do not offer generic solutions, but proven, secure, and optimized technical responses to maximize energy and operational efficiency for each client.
Integrated Vision
of the Project
We cover the entire lifecycle of the energy project: from the initial study and identification of decarbonization opportunities, to the engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of the plant. This integral approach guarantees technical consistency, traceability, and control at every phase of the project. Furthermore, we get involved from the design phase with future operation in mind, which results in more reliable, profitable facilities ready to evolve with the client.
Flexibility in the
Business
Model
We adapt our proposal to the client’s economic and strategic needs. We can operate under ESCO schemes (with no initial investment from the client), long-term energy supply contracts, leasing models, or hybrid solutions. This flexible contractual approach allows for accelerating the energy transition without compromising the client’s financial balance, sharing risk and guaranteeing measurable energy results.
Commitment
to Sustainability and
the Circular
Economy
Sustainability is not an added value at ENSO: it is the core of our model. We design solutions that prioritize the use of local biomass and, whenever possible, valorize industrial byproducts (such as sludge, forest residues, or agricultural waste) to feed the client’s energy system. This reduces emissions, gives waste a second life, and reinforces the positive impact on the environment, creating cleaner, more efficient, and more circular industrial ecosystems.
