Industrial Decarbonization PERTE Project with Biomass for Grupo ACOR

This flagship project aims to decarbonize the sugar industrial complex of ACOR, located in Olmedo (Valladolid), through two different strategies: industrial self-consumption of energy from a new biomass cogeneration plant, and improving industrial process energy efficiency by replacing compressors with more efficient ones.

It has been funded through the Grants for Comprehensive Action Projects for the Decarbonization of the Manufacturing Industry (PERTE-DI), within the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation for Industrial Decarbonization (Industrial Decarbonization PERTE – L1), under the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union and managed by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
