The project “Digitalization of operations in forest, landing area and machinery” has been funded through the Call for grants for the digitalization of primary wood processing companies and other wood-based products, within the project Technological and Territorial Network for Forest Monitoring and the Reduction of Environmental Disasters as Drivers for the Development of the Forest Bioeconomy (RETECHFOR, PRTR, Next Generation EU).
The co-financing entity is the Regional Ministry of Environment, Housing and Spatial Planning of the Regional Government of Castile and León.
The overall objective is to implement a digital system that enables the planning, management, and supervision of forest harvesting operations, from felling to extraction, integrating real-time field data and improving efficiency, traceability, and communication among all stakeholders involved.
