9th CEX National Award for Best Practices in Circular Economy Management

ENSO, Finalist for Its CO₂ Utilization Project in Garray

ENSO was recognized as a finalist in the 9th edition of the CEX National Award for Best Management Practices 2019, in the Circular Economy category, thanks to its innovative CO₂ utilization project at the Garray biomass plant (Soria).

This recognition highlights ENSO’s commitment to efficiency, sustainability, and technological innovation, pillars that define its management model and its vision of the bioeconomy as a driver of industrial transformation.

Innovation Applied to Decarbonization

The presented project consisted of a CO₂ recovery and utilization system from the biomass combustion process, which reduces emissions and reuses the gas for various industrial and agricultural applications. This practice demonstrates how circularity and innovation can be integrated into real energy facilities, creating value from the by-products of the process.

ENSO’s selection as a finalist reflects the technological maturity of its solutions and its comprehensive approach to decarbonizing the productive sector, aligned with national and European climate neutrality goals.

Recognition for Commitment to Excellence

The CEX Awards, granted by the Association of Centers for Excellence Promotion, recognize organizations that stand out for efficient, sustainable, and continuously improving management. ENSO’s participation in this edition reaffirms its position as a company committed to operational excellence and responsible innovation.

This achievement strengthens ENSO’s vision as a starting point for expansive change toward a cleaner, measurable, and circular energy model, where technology and sustainability work together for a smarter industrial future.
