The origin of ENSO traces back to the extensive experience of its professionals in the sector. Building on the technical, operational, and strategic knowledge gained in other companies —such as Gestamp Biomass, the cornerstone of our journey—, the team gradually shaped a shared vision that today takes form in ENSO:
a company with its own identity, specialized in the energy transformation of heat-intensive facilities and the development of regulated renewable assets, under a sustainable, profitable model aligned with global climate goals.
It was at that stage of technical and strategic maturity that we redefined our business model toward an ESCO (Energy Services Company) approach, taking on an active role not only as developers and operators but also as long-term energy partners. This model allows us to offer comprehensive energy supply solutions with flexible contractual structures tailored to each client, ensuring efficiency, emissions reduction, and cost savings without the need for upfront investment from the client.

We design, finance, build, and operate biomass plants and other clean technologies directly within our clients’ industrial facilities under thermal or cogeneration PPA contracts. This allows for the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy, without any upfront investment from the client.
We take care of the operation, maintenance, and fuel supply (biomass), ensuring service continuity, real energy savings, and a verifiable positive environmental impact. In addition, we conduct detailed energy studies to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement, integrating advanced technological solutions.
The client pays only for the useful energy consumed (“energy-as-a-service” model), through long-term contracts that ensure stability, transparency, and return from day one — without assuming operational or supply risks. We provide guidance throughout the entire process, from the initial design to environmental compliance and access to grants and emission compensation mechanisms.
